my story
Hey there! I’m Rachel and I am a fitness trainer and holistic health coach based in Toronto. I have a degree in Kinesiology, I'm a Certified Personal Trainer, IIN Health Coach & Integrative Nutritionist, and soon to be Certified Pilates Instructor. I've dedicated over five years to personal training, and I have over a decade of personal fitness experience.
My fitness journey began in high school after giving up sports and seeing my body weight start to change, so I decided to start exercising and was immediately in love with how strong and energized it made me feel. With this new found passion, I went on to study Kinesiology at Western University to expand my knowledge of the human body and human movement. After graduation, I began my fitness training career and not long after, I became a certified health coach. I currently work with clients 1:1 (online and in person), and I teach group fitness classes throughout the city.
At the beginning, I struggled with finding balance between fitness, nutrition, and life. There were times when fitness got in the way of living my life and when living my life got in the way of fitness, resulting in no consistency in my routine and my goals weren’t being met effectively. It wasn’t until I learned how to shift my perspective on fitness that I realized I can take care of my body and go out and live my life, without falling off track every time.
By creating practical habits that seamlessly fit into my daily life and adopting healthier relationships with food and exercise, I've stayed true to my personal goals for years. As your coach, I'm here to help you reach that same level of consistency. Let's ditch the rollercoaster of yo-yo dieting and excessive workouts, and instead, embrace a balanced approach to nutrition and fitness. With simple routines, a shift in mindset, and my support when things get tough, success and lasting results are totally within reach.
